NSW Business Grant

Business, sole trader and Not for Profit organisation in NSW affected by Covid-19 restrictions and experiencing reduced demand or business closure may be eligible for a one of grant $7,500, $10,500, $15,000. 

Eligibility 

Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN).

Business operating in NSW as at 1 June 2021.

Have had total annual Australian wages of $10 million or less as at 1 July 2020.

Had an aggregated annual turnover between $75,000 and $50 million (inclusive) for the year ended 30 June 2020.

Have business costs for which there is no other government support available.

Maintain your employee headcount as at 13 July 2021.

Available funding

Following one of grants can be applied for:
Tier 1
Tier 2
Tier 3
Tier 1

Tier 1

$7,500 for a decline of 30% or more


Tier 2

Tier 2

$10,500 for a decline of 50% or more


Tier 3

Tier 3 

$15,000 for a decline of 70% or more.

How funding can be used 

The Grant will impacted business with below mentioned costs incurred from 1 June 2021 to 17 July 2021 :

Utilities, wages and rent

Financial, legal costs 

Other activities to support the operation of the business.


Marketing and communications costs

The cost of perishable goods subject to damage 

However, it does not cover any government fee and charges

Evidence in support of eligibility

Eligible businesses applying for grants are required to:

Declare the decline in turnover from 26 June to 17 July 2021 compared to the same period in 2019.

Declare eligible expenses for which no government support is available.

Declare employee headcount as of 13th July and that they will maintain it.

Provide details of qualified accountant, registered tax agent or registered BAS agent for compliance check.

Submit Australian Income tax return to demonstrate eligible aggregate annual turnover.

Auditing requirements

Successful applications may be subject to an audit. Service NSW can request a combination of the following documents to support its determination of eligibility and use of funds in accordance with this grant's Terms and Conditions:

Accountant’s letter 

Prior BAS statements 

Income tax declarations 

Audited profit and loss statements

Receipts and invoices from purchases.
